Janine regularly acts as production counsel on theater and film projects regarding rights acquisition, financial structuring, production and distribution agreements.
She also advises individual producers and talent agencies.

Janine advises talent including actors, directors, writers and personalities on agreements for film, TV, streaming services, digital media, podcast and endorsement deals.
Prior to joining Nevin Law Group, Janine practiced law at premiere entertainment firms and was a member of in-house legal teams in New York, Los Angeles, and Toronto. Janine began her career in the New York and London offices of a leading Wall Street law firm.
Janine has been a speaker at Independent Filmmaker Project Week, NYC Media Center, ACTRA Toronto and Edinburgh Film Festival; and a guest lecturer at London Film School and City University of New York. She is also the founder of Phoenix Entertainment Advisors, a boutique entertainment law firm and strategy consultancy, with a focus on diverse projects. Janine is a graduate of Columbia University School of Law, Columbia Business School and McGill University. She is admitted to practice in New York and California.
